Monitoring and Alert Response:

● Continuously monitor network performance metrics (bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss) using monitoring tools.

● Analyse network alerts and identify potential issues that could impact data center operations.

● Respond promptly to network incidents, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

● Escalate critical issues to appropriate personnel according to established protocols.

Security:

● Assist in maintaining data center physical security by monitoring for suspicious activity and potential breaches.

● Follow established security protocols and procedures to safeguard access to the NOC, DC, UPS, DB data center rooms.

● Check rights to access data center rooms; Register all visitors who is accessing data center rooms.

Reporting and Documentation:

● Generate reports on network performance, maintain Incidents Log, contact list, physical access log, and others.

● Document network events, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for future reference.

● Maintain up-to-date NOC documents.

● Timely report to management about critical cases, and problem in resolving those issues if any.

Collaboration:

● Work effectively with internal teams (system and network engineers, MEP, software engineers, and others) to resolve issues.

● Communicate clearly and concisely with vendors regarding discovered problems.
